As on other biggest social networks, direct contact with support staff on TikTok is also difficult.
On TikTok’s official website, it is in vain to find a phone number or email address through which users can contact support and resolve ongoing concerns.
Unfortunately, TikTok users often encounter problems when using the platform. This can be particularly frustrating for those who maintain company accounts and advertise on the service.
User accounts are also sometimes banned by an algorithm mistake. This is when contacting TikTok support is particularly important for them.
Therefore, in today’s post, I describe 4 ways how to contact TikTok. I hope the information will be helpful for you. 🙂
How do I contact TikTok?
I’ll get straight to the point – below you’ll find 4 ways how to write to TikTok to resolve your account issues. Possibilities include contact via email, app, form, and Twitter.
1. Sending an email
As I mentioned in the introduction, TikTok deliberately does not provide an email address on its website where regular users can write to if they have questions or concerns. If the email address was available to everyone, the staff would probably not be able to respond to queries.
However, I have found email addresses on other blogs that you can supposedly write to to contact TikTok. I am not entirely sure if these are up to date, but I have listed them below:
- General TikTok email addresses to report problems:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected] - TikTok Creator Marketplace (platform that connects influencers and advertisers) email addresses:
Worldwide – [email protected]
For Europe – [email protected] - TikTok email address for advertisers:
[email protected]
Out of curiosity, I sent a test email to [email protected] – the email was certainly correct, as I did not receive a Mailer Daemon return. However, I’m not sure if I would have received a return message after sending an email describing a specific problem.
Nevertheless, I think it is worth trying. If you have any problem with your TikTok account, it is best to test all possibilities.
2. Contact via the ‘Report a problem’ option in the app
Although TikTok does not provide an official email address or phone number on its website, at the same time it does not leave its users without help. The second option to contact support, offered by the service itself, is the “Report a problem” function. This option is available from within the application. To use it, follow the steps below:
- Log in to the TikTok app,
- select the human icon with the word “Profile” at the bottom right,
- click on the menu icon (three horizontal dashes) located on the top bar,
- select the “Settings and privacy” section, scroll down and choose “Report a Problem”,
- select the topic that concerns you and then click the pen and paper icon at the bottom.
3. Contact via the form
Another option is to contact TikTok via the form. This can be found on the official TikTok website – link here.
The form allows you to select an area of help (among them, for example, the problem of a banned or suspended account), describe the problem in detail and add attachments.
Before submitting the form, make sure that the email you have provided is correct, as this is where you will receive a reply.
4. Contact via Twitter
The last option is contacting TikTok on Twitter. TikTok has created a special profile called @TikTokSupport, through which it offers support to users 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific time)
You can contact TikTok support on Twitter directly in private messages. It is also worth following the profile to keep up to date with any crashes and glitches. Sometimes these are the cause of problems with your account, so there is no need to contact TikTok straight away. Support informs you of everything on its wall.
When not to contact TikTok?
Sometimes it is not necessary to contact TikTok since you can solve some problems by yourself. For this purpose, TikTok has set up a special Help Centre, similar in form to Facebook’s Help Centre. Here you can find solutions to the most common problems faced by users, as well as useful articles and instructions.
Solutions to individual problems are also suggested by TikTok in the application when using the “Report a problem” option and selecting individual topics.
Whenever possible, it is definitely preferable to take the time to find the necessary information and solve the problem on your own. It can be more time-consuming and tiring to contact TikTok than to use the knowledge base available in the Help Centre.
However, not every problem can be solved on your own, so contacting TikTok support is highly recommended.
I hope that you have managed to contact TikTok using the methods I have described above and that you will soon receive a feedback message which will solve your problem.
